Companions
Collectible creatures. Every companion you OWN adds +5% coins and its trained DPS bonus — both stack across your whole collection, equipped or not.
Companions are a layered system: a creature at your side, a permanent coin bonus for every companion you own, a training DPS bonus that also stacks across your whole collection, and — after Awakening — Companion Powers.
Coin bonus — every companion counts
- Every companion you OWN gives +5% coins
- The bonus is the same for every companion — no type is worth more
- They add up: 4 owned companions = +20% coins
- Owning is enough; you do not need to equip them
DPS bonus — this stacks too
- Every companion you have TRAINED adds its DPS bonus, permanently
- The bonuses add together across your whole collection
- An unequipped companion keeps giving its full trained bonus
- Only the equipped companion GAINS new training — the bonus itself never turns off
Where to equip
Open Hero from the main menu and switch to the COMPANION tab, then tap the companion portrait to pick which owned companion fights at your side. Only one is active at a time; a newly bought companion is equipped automatically, and you can switch or unequip anytime.
Training
- The equipped companion gains +1 training wave per completed wave
- Waves needed per level grow ~3.5% each level; the ladder below shows the shape
- Training caps at level 120, worth +25% DPS for that companion
- Training milestones also unlock that companion's ability tiers
Training ladder
| Level | Waves for this level | Waves total | DPS bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 51 | 51 | +0.21% |
| 5 | 59 | 275 | +1.04% |
| 10 | 70 | 602 | +2.08% |
| 25 | 118 | 2002 | +5.21% |
| 50 | 279 | 6754 | +10.4% |
| 75 | 659 | 17999 | +15.6% |
| 100 | 1559 | 44590 | +20.8% |
| 120 | 3103 | 90228 | +25% |
Each level costs about 3.5% more waves than the one before, so the last twenty levels are most of the grind. A single companion taken to 120 is worth +25% DPS, and every companion can reach it.
Companion Powers (Awakening)
Companion Powers are the Awakening half of the system and work nothing like the coin and DPS bonuses above. They are abilities bought in the Awakening tree, they must be EQUIPPED into a slot to do anything, and you get more slots as your Awakening level rises.
How the slots work
- Awakening I opens the first slot, VI a second, VIII a third
- An ability does nothing while it sits outside a slot
- Every equipped slot runs its own cycle independently
- Their effects multiply together; crit chance adds instead
- A bonus only applies while that ability's window is active
Companion Powers unlock from the Awakening tree (Tier I-III per ability). Bursts fire at the start of each cycle; auras stay active for their tuned duration. Respeccing the tree refunds the diamonds invested in those abilities 1:1.
